If you’re guessing it’s a slow news week, you’re right. Since it’s Friday, and Mother’s Day is right around the bend, we thought you might need a drink. And of course, being the Diablo Sport fan page, the cocktail’s got to be evil.

So today, Barkeep Diablo brings you this classic Trader Vic drink with a twist: The El Diablo Sport Cocktail. Enjoy.

As much as we hate disclaimers, and as much as we want to trust all of you as the mature adults you really are, we gotta say it: DON”T DRINK AND DRIVE!

El Diablo Sport Cocktail

1/2 lime

1 ounce tequila, we prefer John Wayne’s fave, Sauza Conmemorativo

1/2 ounce Crème de cassis (don’t worry, it’s pretty common)

Ginger ale, 7-Up, Tonic, Seltzer, Mountain Dew or your favorite bubbly clearish liquid

Grab a highball glass. Squeeze the lime into the glass and drop the hull behind it. Add ice, tequila, and Crème de cassis; top the glass off with bubbly clearish liquid of your choice. And the devilish twist? Garnish with a skewer of cocktail onions! Dink up (but don’t drive, please)!

Last week we served up a customer review of the DiabloSport Predator Tuner U7194 that a guy installed on his C6 Corvette.

Well this week, we found a guy who used that very same Diablo part number to put the devil in his 2007 Chevy Tahoe with the 6.0L V8. The results? Good!

Check out this review from the happy owner of a Diablo-possessed 2006 C6 Corvette. Referring to the DiabloSport Predator Tuner U7194, this Vette owner got more than he bargained for—but that’s not so bad!

“This is an excellent product. I had added an intake and exhaust prior to installing this product. The added acceleration was very obvious after the tune. Sticky or wider tires are now necessary. Very fast. Be careful to read the online manual and pull the proper fuses before you get started.”

Whenever it’s a slow news week here at the Diablo fan page, our attentions inevitably turn to our stomachs. So today, we wanna share this recipe for the classic Mexican dish, Camarónes ala Diablo, or The Devil’s Shrimp.

And, since this is the DiabloSport Fan Page, we’ve got a special recipe edition that we like to call “Shrimp ala DiabloSport.”

Warning: this dish is hot! We recommend that you manage the fire with many bottles of premium Mexican beer. We prefer Negra Modelo and Dos Equis, but some Corona or Pacifico will do in a pinch.

Shrimp ala DiabloSport (serves 6)

Ingredients:

3 lbs shrimp, (20-24 count, shelled and deveined)

1/2 onion, sliced

8 garlic cloves, minced

3 jalapeño peppers, seeded and sliced

3 habanero peppers, seeded and sliced

1 small can chipotles in adobo sauce

3 tomatoes

1 stick of butter

Juice of 1 lime

Salt and Pepper

Preparation:

In a large skillet, sauté the peppers in a little bit of the butter.

When softened, toss peppers into a blender or food processor with 2 garlic cloves and all the tomatoes. Blend until smooth.

Sauté the onion slices and remaining garlic in the rest of the butter until translucent over medium to medium high heat.

Toss in the shrimp and cook until they turn bright pink. (Shrimp cook fast, so be ready)

Pour in the blended tomato mixture, cover the skillet and let simmer for a few minutes, until warm.

Stir in the lime juice and serve with rice.

Enjoy!

We did an article awhile back about DiabloSport’s race sponsorship program. We know a ton of you clamored to snag some Diablo sticker space for the side of your ride, and we know the majority of you were rejected.

Well, don’t take the rejection as a sign that Diablo Sport doesn’t really sponsor race cars, take it as a sign that your 1987 Nissan Pulsar NX just wasn’t up to snuff.

It’s a slow news day here at the DiabloSport fan page, so we thought we’d give a shout out to this new type of chip. Australia’s favorite brew, Victoria Bitter, the most popular beer down under (Fosters is for tourists) has launched a brilliant new foodstuff—the beer drinking chip!

Of course, we love beer, and we love chips, and we all love crunching and sipping them at the same time. So, a chip designed for exclusively for this activity—well that’s a bloody masterpiece. Why didn’t we think of that?
